Border West 14, Brandon-Evansville 6
WHEATON – Border West sent 18 men to the plate and scored 13 runs, all with two outs in the sixth inning to earn a sweep of Brandon-Evansville with a 14-6 victory from Wheaton.
The Chargers led 6-1 going into the sixth, and were a strike away from getting out of the jam with a 6-2 lead when it all unraveled. The Bucs incredible rally included nine hits, four walks, and two hit batsmen before the third out was recorded.
Spencer Ellison finished the night the three hits, three RBI’s and a run while taking a no-decision on the hill. Ellison allowed six runs (four earned) on four hits over four innings, Sam Adelman pitched three innings of scoreless relief for the win.
Nate Moberg, Jakob Adelman, and Nelson Schmidt each had two RBI’s for the Bucs who improved to 8-0 in the Pheasant Conference, 9-1 overall.
The Chargers used five different pitchers, three in the sixth alone. Jesse Perleberg and Gaven Jacobson each had an RBI as they fell to 7-4 overall, 2-4 in conference.
Border West 6, Brandon-Evansville 0
WHEATON – In game one Sam Adelman struck out nine over six scoreless innings for the win in the Bucs 6-0 victory. Isaac Deal was 2-2 with an RBI and run, James Conroy had two hits with a double, RBI, and run scored.
Zack Haugen took the loss for the Chargers, going five innings while surrendering six runs (three earned) on five hits.
Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta 5, Melrose 4
MORRIS – Brandon Jergenson scored of Zach Bruns sac-fly in the bottom of the fourth to break a 4-4 tie, and Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta held on for 5-4 win over Melrose from Chizek Field on Thursday.
Jack Riley was 3-4 with two runs, Bruns had two hits with an RBI, Jaret Johnson and Colten Scheldorf added RBI’s for the Tigers.
Bruns picked up the win pitching 6.1 innings, giving up two earned runs on three hits. The Tigers are 8-7 overall, 3-6 in the West Central Conference. The Dutchmen fell to 3-6, 3-5 in conference.
Minnewaska 7, Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City
GLENWOOD – Luke Barkheim threw a no-hitter and Minnewaska broke away from ACGC with six runs over their final two at-bats for a 7-1 victory.
Barkheim gave up an unearned run and struck out six, Clay Blair was 2-2 with five RBI’s at the plate for the Lakers who are 9-2 overall, 8-1 in the West Central Conference. The Falcons loss drops them to 4-5 overall, 3-4 in conference.

Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta 9, Montevideo 2
MONTEVIDEO – Kenzie Hockel was 2-4 with two RBI’s to lead Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta past Montevideo 9-2.
Emma Bowman added two RBI’s for the Tigers who had seven different players pick up an RBI, and are now 9-0 in the West Central Conference, and 12-1 overall.
Kenna Kehoe got the win, giving up two runs on six hits over 4.2 innings.
Hancock 11, Hillcrest Lutheran 6
FERGUS FALLS – Carlee Hanson belted a two-run home run, and Tori Pahl drove in four runs on two hits to lead Hancock past Hillcrest 11-6 in a doubleheader from Fergus Falls.
Eight different Owls had at least one hit, including two apiece from Morgan Kisgen and Alexa Meierding. Hanson struck out 12 in a complete game effort for the win.

FERGUS FALLS – Morgan Kisgen fired seven sharp innings and the Owls earned a sweep of the Comets with a 9-1 rout in game two.
Kisgen tossed a complete game, allowing one earned run on three hits with 10 strikeouts, Nadine Miller had two hits, two RBI’s, and two runs scored, Alexa Meierding was 2-4 with two runs and an RBI. Hancock is 5-8 on the season.
Brandon-Evansville 9, Parkers Prairie 3
BRANDON – A six-run fifth inning pushed Brandon-Evansville past Parkers Prairie 9-3.
Mikenna Pattrin pitched a complete game, giving up three unearned runs on three hits while striking out 10 for the win.
Four Chargers had two hits apiece, led by Bailey Schaefer who homered, doubled, and scored three runs. Maddie Otto was 2-4 with two RBI’s, Pattrin added two RBI’s and the Chargers improve to 10-2 on the season.
Benson 7, Minnewaska 5
GLENWOOD – Benson erased a five-run deficit late to rally for a 7-5 win in game one of a doubleheader against Minnewaska.
Kaitlyn Berreau had three hits for the Braves, Kyla Koob had two for the Lakers.
Minnewaska 11, Benson 3
GLENWOOD – Michelle Stai had four hits to lead the Lakers to a split with an 11-3 win in game two. Elizabeth Murken, Koob, and Alyssa Erickson each had three hits for Minnewaska.

Quad County Meet @ Pebble Lake Golf Course
FERGUS FALLS – John Vall fired a 75 to take medalist honors and lead Hillcrest to a win at a Quad County golf meet from Pebble Lake Golf Course in Fergus Falls.
Otter Tail Central’s Noah Chase finished two shots behind Vall, and the Bulldogs were runner-up in team scoring.
The West Central Area boys took fifth, led by Tate Christenson with a 103, Braeden Lanter shot a 96 for Border West who finished seventh.
The Knights Jessica St. Martin took fourth in girls competition with a 96, five shots behind Pillager’s Abby Koel and OTC’s Adysen Tysdahl. OTC won the event.
