Today (Friday) is a national holiday in Norway, but the Morris Sons of Norway Norskfodt Lodge #1590 will have their annual Syttende Mai Brunch tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at First Lutheran Church on 200 East Fifth Street in Morris. Vicky Dosdall told the KMRS Community Connection that the brunch will feature an assortment of Scandinavian delicacies, including Danish pancakes, heart-shaped waffles, Norwegian fruit suppa, the Norwegian brown cookie known as brunkakke, sausage, hard boiled eggs, dark breads and cheese, lingonberries and cloud berries.

There will also be Scandinavian craft demonstrations. Tickets are available at the door and are $12 for adults, $5 for children 5 through 12, and free for those under 5.
