Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta 11, Minnewaska 6
GLENWOOD – Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta scored seven runs in the top of the seventh to snap a long losing streak to rival Minnewaska with a 11-6 win from Marthaler Field in Glenwood on Friday.
Zach Bruns belted a three-run home run to put an exclamation point on the big inning, finishing a triple shy of the cycle.
The Tigers led 4-2 entering the sixth before the Lakers rallied with four runs, taking the lead on a mammoth two-run shot off the bat of Darion Alexander.
But a wild seventh for the Tigers included five hits and three Laker errors. Mike Halvorson finished with two hits and two RBI’s, Colten Scheldorf had two hits with an RBI and Austin Berlinger tossed a complete game for the win.
Alexander had three RBI’s for Minnewaska, Luke Barkeim had two hits with an RBI and took a no-decision after pitching six innings. Isaiah Testa took the loss in relief.

Border West 6, Breckenridge 2
CLINTON – Matt Thielen and Sam Adelman combined on a one-hitter for Border West in a 6-2 win over Breckenridge.
Thielen earned the win, allowing two unearned runs over 3.2 innings, while Adelman finished off the Cowboys with 3.1 of hitless relief. Thielen struck out eight while Adelman fanned five.
Nate Moberg had two hits with an RBI, Spencer Ellison knocked in two for the Bucs.

SOFTBALL

Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta 15, Montevideo 2
MONTEVIDEO – Liz Dietz pitched a complete game one-hitter and Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta finished a perfect conference schedule with a 15-2 rout of Montevideo.
Dietz had three RBI’s at the plate for the Tigers who had 12 hits as a team, and finish the regular season with a perfect 14-0 conference record, 16-1 overall.
Katelyn Wehking and Macee Libbesmeier each had two RBI’s for the Tigers.

Clinton-Graceville-Bearsley 7, Ortonville 4
GRACEVILLE – Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley rallied for four runs in the bottom of the sixth and beat Ortonville 7-4.
Emma Botker had two RBI’s on two hits with two runs, Jessica Moberg was 3-4 with an RBI and two runs, Reanna Ward added two hits with an RBI.
Lora Botker struck out 10 in a complete game win. Jaidon Conroy had a home run and double for the Trojans.

Brandon-Evansville 11, Hillcrest Lutheran 0 (5 Inn)
FERGUS FALLS – Four Chargers had multiple hits, Mikenna Pattrin and Kristen Kokett combined on a five inning shutout for Brandon-Evansville in a 11-0 win over Hillcrest.
Haddey Zastrow drove in three runs with two runs, and Christine Roers knocked in a pair for the Chargers. Kokett added two hits with an RBI and two runs.

West Central Area 12, Wheaton/Herman-Norcross 9
