Morris Schools Superintendent Rick Lahn expressed his pleasure at the compromise worked out by the Minnesota State Legislature that will see increases of 2 percent for the school district in each of the next two years. At last night’s meeting of the Morris School Board, Lahn called it the greatest increase to public education in 25 years.

In other School District news from last night’s meeting, the School Board unanimously approved having incoming Superintendent Troy Ferguson as an Identified Official with Authority effective July 1 when he begins his duties, and also approved continuing the agreement with the Chokio-Alberta School District to do their business affairs, with a 3 percent increase for the work.
