The Border West Bucs won their second straight Pheasant Conference title by going 12-0 in conference play. They were awarded on Saturday by receiving the no. 1 seed in the section 6A-South playoffs for baseball, and with it a first round bye.

Who the Bucs play in round two will be determined in Barrett on Tuesday when the no. 4 seeded West Central Area Knights (9-8) host no. 5 Hancock (10-8) in a first round matchup.

Other south matchups have no. 2 Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa (9-9) hosting St. John’s Prep (1-13), while no. 3 Upsala/Swanville (12-6) will face Ortonville (3-12).

New York Mills (14-3) is the top seed in 6A-North and also received a first round bye.

No. 2 Ashby (9-7) will host Bertha-Hewitt (3-14), no. 3 Brandon-Evansville (14-6) faces Pelican Rapids (3-15), and defending state champions Parkers Prairie (9-10)grabbed the no. 4 seed and will host Browerville/Eagle Valley (4-12).

All first round games are elimination games, set for Tuesday at 5:00. Second round and on are double elimination.
