Border West 8, Hancock 4
HANCOCK – A six-run second inning was enough to push Border West past Hancock 8-4 in legion baseball from Hancock on Monday.
Sam Adelman was 2-4 with two RBI’s and a run while picking up the win on the hill, pitching five innings, allowing four runs on six hits. Matt Thielen recorded the final six outs for the save.
Thielen and Nelson Schmidt each had two hits with an RBI and run scored, Logan Bock knocked in a pair of runs.
Colten Crowell was the victim of a bad defensive night for Hancock, with all eight runs charged to him being unearned on four fielding errors. Crowell surrendered 10 hits and struck out seven over seven innings.
Kody Berget was 2-4 with two runs, Tanner Pahl drove in two, Peyton Rohloff and Gideon Joos each added an RBI.
