Monson Motors 6, West River Seed 3
MORRIS – Monson Motors scored five runs in the first inning and survived their fourth straight game facing elimination with a 6-3 defeat on West River Seed from Wells South.
Mikaya Hennessey led the charge with a two-run single for Monson, Lauren Hottovy and Isabell Hoffman each added RBI’s.
Hottovy struck out seven over 2.2 innings in the circle. Haley Kill recorded five strikeouts for West River.

West River Seed 9, Monson Motors 1
MORRIS – West River scored two runs in each the first and second innings, then blew the game open with five more in the third to win the Elementary Softball championship with a 9-1 victory over Monson Motors in game two.
Britta Schmidgall had the hot bat with two hits and three RBI’s, Lilly Young added two hits with two RBI’s, Aranzo Guerrero knocked in another.
Kill and Amaya Raths combined for five innings in the circle, striking out seven.
Hottovy and Hoffman each doubled for Monson with Hoffman scoring their lone run. Hottovy stuck out four in the circle.


White Sox 4, Mets 1
HANCOCK – In the Hancock Little League championship it was the White Sox defeating the Mets 4-1, the Red Sox took third.


Border West 6, Morris 3
MORRIS – Sam Adelman tossed seven strong innings to get Border West past Morris 6-3.
Adelman allowed three runs on five hits while striking out six, Hunter Johnson went 3-3 at the plate with an RBI and run scored.

Hancock 5, Glenwood 1
GLENWOOD – Kody Berget tossed five scoreless innings and Hancock defeated Glenwood 5-1 on Thursday.
Berget did some damage at the plate as well, going 2-3 with an RBI, Tanner Pahl had two hits and an RBI, Adam Shaw had a run and RBI, Preston Rohloff knocked in another while Luke Joos scored.
Rohloff allowed an unearned run over two innings of relief.

Osakis 10, West Central Area/Ashby/Brandon-Evansville 0
EVANSVILLE – West Central Area/Ashby/Brandon-Evansville was limited to just two hits in a 10-0 loss to Osakis on Thursday.
Teigen Moritz took the loss, allowing four runs on six hits over four innings.


Morris 18, Big Stone 4
MORRIS – Morris erupted for 11 runs in the fourth inning en route to a 18-4 thrashing of Big Stone in Junior Legion baseball on Thursday from Chizek Field.
Derek Giese led the onslaught at the plate with two hits, two RBI’s, and three runs. Zach Bruns and Parker Bartels each scored three times while knocking in a pair on two hits.
Dylan Rose was 3-4 with an RBI, Will Breuer and Riley Reimers each drove in two for Morris who racked up 17 hits in all.
Breuer picked up the win, while Rose and Tyler Gonnerman combined for three innings of one-hit ball.
