At a panel discussion that was part of Wednesday’s Midwest Farm Energy Conference keynote event at Old No. 1 in Morris, Carson Berger of the Denco II ethanol processing plant in Morris touted the benefits of using more locally produced fuels.

Berger said we need to get past E-10 ethanol blends and into biofuel blends like E30, which is used in a number of countries. For the consumer, he noted, ethanol is usually cheaper than other fuel sources.
