The 9/11 Never Forget Mobile Exhibit will station itself at the Grant County Fair in Herman today through Sunday. The memorial provides interactive education, including artifacts such as steel beams from the towers, documentary videos, and recordings of first responder radio transmissions. Three New York firefighters will lead interactive guided tours and provide first-hand accounts of the day and its aftermath. A firefighter who was at Ground Zero the day of 9/11 will also be the guest speaker following the community supper 7 p.m. tonight. Scott Libbesmeier is with the Grant County Fair and the Herman Fire Department and told the KMRS Early Morning Show that the exhibit has only been to Minnesota twice before, and thought it was appropriate to bring it back for the Fair’s 125th anniversary year.
The exhibit will run 4 to 9 p.m. tonight, 4 to 10 p.m. Friday, Noon to 8 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.
