Wyllis Bremseth, age 87 of Glenwood, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2019, at Woodland Lodge in Fergus Falls, MN.
Visitation for Wyllis Bremseth will be held Saturday, July 27, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Appleton,MN.
Funeral service for Wyllis M. Bremseth will be at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Appleton, MN, with Pastor John Ramsbacher officiating. Burial will be in Appleton City Cemetery.
Wyllis Marlowe Bremseth was born June 3, 1932, on the home farm in Hantho Township, Lac qui Parle County, MN, to parents Richard and Alma (Pederson) Bremseth. He was raised in Hantho Township and attended school in Appleton, MN, where he graduated Class of 1950. Wyllis enlisted in the United States Air Force from 1951 to 1955 where he served in Germany and Norway during the Korean War.
On July 8, 1956, Wyllis was united in marriage to LaVonne Tucholke in Appleton,MN. This union was blessed with over 58 years together and four children: Tim, Don, David, and Kristen. The couple made their home in Glenwood, MN, where Wyllis worked for Cenex as the LP Manager for over 37 years. He was a member of Glenwood Lutheran Church and the American Legion. Wyllis was an avid outdoorsman in his younger years, loving to hunt and fish.
Wyllis is survived by his children: Tim Bremseth of Minneapolis, MN, Don (Angel) Bremseth of Fergus Falls, MN, David Bremseth of Reliance, TN, and Kristen (Dan) Bergee of Moorhead, MN; 12 grandchildren: Adam (Katie) Bremseth, Andrew Bremseth, Ashley (Jeff) Sands, Lyssa (Troy) Newlove, Jessica Bremseth, Isaac Bremseth, Jotham Bremseth, Ketura Bremseth, Abigail Bremseth, Dusty Bergee, Devin (Elizabeth) Bergee, Aaron (Courtney) Bergee; 6 great-grandchildren: Alexander, Alivia and Alizabeth Bremseth, Autumn and Axton Sands, and Theo Bergee; sisters-in-law: Barb Bremseth of Litchfield, MN, and Janet Tucholke of Rice, MN; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, LaVonne in 2015; his parents: Richard and Alma Bremseth; and his siblings: Ardy, Loren, Gloria, Richard, and Roger.
