It’s Open Class Entry Day at the Stevens County Fair today in Morris. People can bring in their entries from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.. They can also save time standing in line by pre-registering at stevenscountyfair.org. The Fair Board’s Kelly Howe told the KMRS Early Morning Show that there are new categories in canvas paintings and mason jars, and fewer category entries in sewing. They review the categories every year and Howe said they have “switched things up” a bit this year.

The Sugar Beet Corporation has also supplied prizes this year for a Baking with Sugar Cookies category for adults, and a Frosted Cookies category for kids. The Open Class building itself also has been newly painted and features new arrangements.

Other Fair events going on today include the Rockin J Petting Zoo and Pony Rides all day, the Spirit of Minnesota Tribute Bell, the Youth Beef Show at 2 p.m., Wild Whacky Games at 5 p.m., Magic Joe Productions at 6 and 8, the 4-H Rabbit Show at 6, and The Strong Man at 7. Homemakers Entry is also going on for a limited time tonight from 7 to 8 p.m. The main Homemakers Entry time is tomorrow from 8 to 11 a.m.
