MORRIS – Melrose pulled away in the first set, then held on for the next two, earning a sweep of Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta 25-14, 25-21, 25-21 on Thursday in Morris.
Tied at nine the Dutchmen rattled off six straight points and never looked back, dropping the Tigers to 2-1 in conference play.
LaRae Kramm had 21 assists while Lexi Pew tallied 11 kills and seven digs. Macee Libbesmeier had 21 digs, Kenzie Hockel added nine, and Jaden Ross tallied eight.

Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley 3, Ortonville 0
GRACEVILLE – CGB cruised to their second win the of the season with a dominant 25-7, 25-12, 25-13 victory over Ortonville on Thursday.
Mataiah Turner paced the Wolverines on both ends by going 13-13 with two aces at the line while posting three blocks at the net.
Emma Wulf was 10-10 serving with three aces, Jessica Moberg went 16-17 with four aces and 19 assists. Lora Botker and Reanna Ward each had 10 kills, with Ward adding three blocks.

ROTHSAY – Efficient hitting was the key to Brandon-Evansville’s victory over Rothsay 25-12, 25-18, 26-24 on Thursday night in Rothsay.
Bailey Schaefer led a balanced Charger attack with 11 kills, Mikenna Pattrin added eight with four aces at the line. Korrie Randt had 27 assists for the Chargers as they improve to 3-0 on the season.

Holdingford Meet
HOLDINGFORD – Maddie Carrington took seventh place with a time of 21:52, pacing Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta to a fifth place team finish at the Holdingford Meet.
Next to cross the finish line was Meredith Carrington in 16th place with a time of 23:02. Albany won the team scoring title with a 45, the Tigers had a 141.
The Tiger boys placed sixth with a score of 176, St. Cloud Cathedral took first with 42.
Noah Stewart took first place overall with a time of 17:44, Bradley Rohloff was the next Tiger to finish in 26th place.
