Pavers moved into Morris on Wednesday to begin the resurfacing of 7th Street in Morris. City Manager Blaine Hill told KMRS he expects them to keep paving through the rest of the week, weather permitting.
“Usually, if they’re moving the paver into town they want to keep paving because they physically got to move that machine into town and then they kind of gear up everything to get it done,” said Hill. “And that’s one of the things we like to see them do.”
Hill said the road work will continue until the end of September. Crews have encountered some challenges on the 5th Street part of the project, as they found not much of a gravel base underneath the street.
