Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta 33, Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City 13
GROVE CITY – Jack Riley ran for three touchdowns and caught another in Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta’s 33-13 victory over ACGC.
Riley carried 19 times for 140 yards to pace the Tigers who put up 398 yards of total offense, while allowing just 188 to the Falcons.
Zach Bruns was 8-16 passing for 140 yards with a touchdown, running for another 57 and a score and the Tigers improved to 3-1 on the season, dropping the Falcons to 2-2.

Hancock 42, Verndale 6
VERNDALE – Verndale scored on their opening drive, and Hancock responded with 42 unanswered points in a rout of the Pirates 42-6.
In a meeting of 9-Man powers, the Owls flexed their muscles to the tune of 418 total yards of offense compared to just 67 by the Pirates.
The Owls looked more like the Minnesota Twins with their home run plays, a 30-yard touchdown run by Jed Feuchtenberger, 75-yard and 45-yard touchdown runs by Tyler Timmerman.
Timmerman finished with 235 yards rushing on 23 carries with three touchdowns, Preston Rohloff was 9-18 for 103 yards passing with a 14-yard scoring strike to Brandon Kellenberger. The Owls remain unbeaten at 4-0, the Pirates fall to 3-1.

Brandon-Evansville 46, Hillcrest Lutheran 8
BRANDON – Cade Carlson ripped off a 46-yard touchdown and Brandon-Evansville was off an running, scoring 32 first quarter points in a 42-8 rout of Hillcrest.
Carlson scored two touchdowns on just three carries, Ryland Yeats took the bulk of the carries running for 138 yards on 15 carries including a 67 yard touchdown run late.
Keagan Schiele threw the ball once — a 17 yard touchdown to Kyle Schaffrin for the Chargers who are 4-0, dropping Hillcrest to 0-4.

Wheaton/Herman-Norcross 60, Rothsay 6
ROTHSAY – Wheaton/Herman-Norcross had 46 points by halftime and improved to 3-1 with a 60-6 rout of Rothsay.
Zach Braaten was a perfect 8-8 passing for 148 yards and four touchdowns, with three going to Matt Thielen of 50, 36, and 22 yards.
Thielen had four catches for 120 yards, Connor Zych caught a touchdown, while Gunner Martinek, Eli Larson, and Braaten each ran for a score.

United North Central 8, Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley 0
GRACEVILLE – Brandon Miller plunged into the end zone with 52 seconds remaining to give United North Central a 8-0 victory over Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley.
The Wolverines drove the ball deep into Warriors territory on their opening drive, but failed to convert on fourth-and-one, killing their best chance to score.
Nate Moberg ran for 80 yards on 22 carries while racking up 14 tackles for the Wolverines who fall to 1-3. Jonah Howard had 57 yards on 21 carries for the Warriors as they improve to 1-3.

Minnewaska 17, Montevideo 0
GLENWOOD – Minnewaska held Montevideo to just 83 yards of total offense in a 17-0 victory on Friday from Veterans Field.
Tyson Meyer ran for 102 yards on 14 carries, Grant Jensen and Darion Alexander each found the end zone and the Lakers improved to 4-0.

Parkers Prairie Tournament
PARKERS PRAIRIE – Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley went 4-1 at the Parkers Prairie Tournament, sweeping through pool play over Menahga (25-23, 25-18), Northern Freeze (25-20, 25-16), and Parkers Prairie (25-8, 26-24).

The Wolverines fell to New York Mills in bracket play (25-21, 23-25, 13-25) before defeating Menahga in the third place match (25-18, 25-16).

Leaders for CGB included Jessica Moberg who was 57-58 serving with six aces, 72 assists, 31 kills and 31 digs. Kylie Lick was a perfect 25-25 with three aces serving and 44 digs.

Lora Botker had 43 assists, 47 kills, and 28 digs. Mataiah Turner added 24 kills, 32 digs, and five blocks. Reanna Ward posted 36 digs with nine blocks, Lily Murphy tallied five blocks.

OMAHA, Neb – The Minnewaska/Morris Area Gators swam at an Olympic trial pool from Omaha, Nebraska. Top finishers for the Gators included:

200 Free- Shannon Dougherty -17th place
200 IM- Audrey Dorweiler- 12th
50 Free- Michele Stai- 19th
Diving- We had 7 divers our of the 59 total and they made cuts to 16 divers after the 5th round but we didn’t get anyone into the finals. ” It was a good experience to have them see other divers from the area ad their skill level.
