Sauk Centre 3, Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta 1
MORRIS – Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta couldn’t overcome a sluggish start in a four-set loss to Sauk Centre on Thursday 12-25, 21-25, 25-19, 16-25.
Trailing 3-1 in the first set, the Mainstreeters scored 12 straight points and went on to win comfortably. The Tigers came back strong and led for much of set two but the Streeters rallied late to take a 2-0 lead.
The Tigers then flexed their muscles in the third set, leading from start to finish, before fading in the fourth.
Courtney Lehman had 18 digs for the Tigers, Macee Libbesmeier, LaRae Kramm, and Lexi Pew each added 13.
Pew tallied eight kills and five blocks, Emma Bowman had six kills, and Kramm posted 26 assists.

Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley 3, Hancock 0
GRACEVILLE – Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley earned a share of the Pheasant Conference title with a sweep of Hancock 25-10, 25-7, 25-9.
The Wolverines serving was near perfect with Mataiah Turner, Emma Wulff, and Lora Botker combining to go 49-49 at the line. Turner and Botker each had 11 digs, Reanna Ward had 11 kills, Jessica Moberg added 17 assists.
The Wolverines are now 7-0 in conference play and can clinch their third straight title with a win over Wheaton/Herman-Norcross on Oct. 15th. CGB has won 23 straight conference matches dating back to 2016.

Brandon-Evansville 3, Underwood 2
EVANSVILLE – Brandon-Evansville won a crucial Little Eight Conference matchup with Underwood in five-sets on Thursday, 25-15, 25-16, 23-25, 25-27, 15-7.
The Chargers had everything rolling in the first two sets rarely making a mistake. While they started strong in set three and four, each time they faded and Underwood used the momentum swing to their favor to even it up at two.
But in set five Brittany Korkowski’s strong serving put momentum back with the Chargers which they rode to the win.
Bailey Schaefer led the Chargers with 19 kills, 12 digs and four aces, Kailee Klimek had 14 kills, Korkowski added 10 digs, and Korrie Randt tallied 41 assists. The Chargers are 7-0 in conference play while the Rockets fall to 5-3.

West Central Area 3, Ortonville 1
ORTONVILLE – Trailing 19-13 in the fourth set, West Central Area dug deep and rallied for the win, taking their match against Ortonville in four 25-17, 17-25, 25-19, 26-24.
Kaylin Ulrich paced the Knights with seven kills and four aces, Kaleigh Anderson had 13 assists, 17 digs, and three aces, Hailey Bennett added 14 assists with 16 digs, and Morgan Stark tallied nine kills.
