Benson Invite
BENSON – Noah Stewart ran to yet another first place finish for Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta, and Meredith Carrington took third for the Tiger girls at the Benson Invite in cross country on Monday.

Stewart (16:32) edged three runner from Lac qui Parle Valley to win the event, leading the Tigers to a fifth place team finish. Thomas Tiernan was the next closest teammate in 20th place.

Will Magaard took seventh for Benson/KMS who finished runner-up as a team to Lac qui Parle Valley.

Carrington (20:56) finished 33 seconds behind Sauk Centre’s Sophia Kluver who took first. Hailey Werk finished 10th and Anna Backman took 17th for the Tigers who were third as a team.

Minnewaska finished in first place with six placing in the top 20, led by Sydney Hagen who took 6th.

Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley 3, Dawson-Boyd 0
GRACEVILLE – Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley won their sixth straight match with a sweep of Dawson-Boyd on Monday, 25-17, 25-19, 25-23.
Mataiah Turner had a monster night with nine blocks, 14 digs, and seven kills. Reanna Ward blocked seven with 16 digs, and six kills. Jessica Moberg tallied 18 assists while serving 19-19, adding 10 digs. The Wolverines are now 16-3 on the season.
