Stevens Community Medical Center’s Registered Dietitian Ashley Denton is in charge of planning the menu for the community meal served at Monday’s Fall Into Health event 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the Morris Area Elementary School and she said on the KMRS Community Connection what will be served that night.
“This year our main entree is roasted pork loin from Hancock Quality Meats, with a delicious fig balsamic glaze,” said Denton. “We also have a vegetarian option, that’s hearty Tuscan bean stew. And our sides are fresh green beans and rosemary roasted sweet potatoes. And for dessert, we’ve got some caramel apples. So, everyone’s excited about the menu.”
The evening will also feature free lab draws, flu shots done by Thrifty White, informational booths, and a series of breakout sessions on topics ranging from mental health and hereditary cancer testing to skin health and the connection between lifestyle choices and disease.
