Stevens Community Medical Center will present its annual Fall Into Health program tonight from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the Morris Area Elementary School. The event features free lab draws for glucose, cholesterol, hemoglobin and Vitamin D, informational booths, a free community meal, and flu shots given by Thrifty White Pharmacy.
New this year will be a series of breakout sessions on a number of health topics. Hereditary cancer testing is the topic of the 5:30 session; mental health and its therapies will be the 6:00 focus; skin health and skin cancer prevention is the 6:30 session; and connecting the dots between lifestyle and disease will be the 7:00 topic. The event is free, but attendees are asked to bring their insurance card for the flu shots or hereditary cancer screening.
