Hancock School Superintendent Paul Carlson recently went to Washington, D.C. to attend an awards ceremony that recognized the 2019 National Blue Ribbon Schools. Hancock was one of 362 schools recognized with that honor for 2019. The recognition is based on a school’s overall academic performance or progress in closing achievement gaps among student subgroups.
Carlson was given the award by Aba S. Kumi, Director, National Blue Ribbon Schools Program, U.S. Department of Education. U.S. Representative Collin Peterson extended his congratulations to the students, staff and faculty at Hancock Public Schools for this recognition.
