Recognizing people who have given of their time and talents to agriculture was the focus of the Minnesota Farm Bureau Federation (MFBF) Awards Banquet held last week in Bloomington. The awards banquet included both individual and county honors in a variety of categories.
The Agriculture Communicator of the Year award was presented to Carolyn Lange of the West Central Tribune from New London in Kandiyohi County for outstanding leadership in the field of communications.
The FFA Advisor of the Year was awarded to Kerry Lindgren from Staples Motley High School for outstanding service educating youth about agriculture. The Post-Secondary Agricultural Educator of the Year award went to Kim Lippert of Ridgewater College in Kandiyohi County for efforts supporting production agriculture. And Kandiyohi County was one of five counties that received the Farm Bureau’s Counties Activities of Excellence Premier Award for excellence in five key areas: public policy, public relations, promotion and education, leadership development, and membership activity.
