ShapeShift, an up and coming multicultural dance collective from the Twin Cities, will perform 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Edson Auditorium in the Student Center on the campus of the University of Minnesota Morris. The U’s Assistant Director of Student Activities Simon Franco told the KMRS Community Connection that the troupe tackles some heavy issues by using dance as a storytelling device.

ShapeShift’s founder performed with Prince’s band 3rdEyeGirl and the group itself danced in front of 20,000 people at Xcel Energy Center. Tickets are available online at tickets.umn.edu, at the Office of Student Activities on campus, or at the door on Friday.
