Morris/Benson Area 5, Windom Area 2
BENSON – Zach Bruns tallied a hat trick to lead Morris/Benson Area to a 5-2 victory over Windom Area on Saturday from the Benson Civic Center.
Will Breuer’s empty-netter sealed the Storm’s fifth straight win late in the third period. Breuer finished with two goals and an assist. Tim Blume and Jack Riley each had two assists, Tyler Buss had another and Chase Engebretson made 23 saves in net for the Storm who are 5-1 on the season.
GIRLS HOCKEY
Windom Area 5, Morris/Benson Area 2
BENSON – Windom scored four times in the third period to earn a 5-2 victory over Morris/Benson Area.
Taryn Picht scored both Storm goals, Kortney Sanasack and Libby Pendill each had an assist as they fall to 0-6-1.
BOYS BASKETBALL
Henning 60, Brandon-Evansville 49
HENNING – Three Chargers scored in double-figures but Brandon-Evansville came up short in a 60-49 loss to Henning on Saturday.
Tanner Bitzan had 15 points, Keagan Schiele and Marshall Riedel each scored 11 as the Chargers fall to 4-1. The Hornets are 5-0.

Henning 59, Brandon-Evansville 49
HENNING – Mikenna Pattrin scored 17 points but the Chargers fell short against Henning 59-49 on Saturday.
Kristin Kokett added seven points for the Chargers who are 6-2.
