The Stevens County Historical Society and Museum has hired Nicholas Demuth as its new Collection Manager. Demuth is a native of Worthington and graduated from the University of South Dakota in 2019 with a degree in history and a minor in criminal justice.
During college, he worked for three summers at the End-O-Line Railroad Park and Museum in Murray County, Minnesota, where he led tours, assisted with some collections work and helped turn their original railroad turntable that was built in 1901. A trombone player, Demuth performed historic Civil War music as part of his studies. He wrote in the museum’s newsletter that he hopes to continue to perform in Morris.
