Hancock 62, Brandon-Evansville 57
HANCOCK – Matt Thompson was dominant in the post with 24 points and 17 rebounds to help Hancock edge Brandon-Evansville 62-57 on Monday night.
The Owls trailed 38-30 early in the second half before going on a 15-0 run to take the lead that they never gave up. Kody Berget came off the bench hit three crucial three-pointers to finish with nine points.
Daniel Milander had nine points, Preston Rohloff and Colten Crowell each added eight as the Owls improve to 5-4 on the season.
Marshall Riedel kept the Chargers close with his share of clutch shots, finishing with 22 points and six rebounds. Titus Fuller added 14, Keagan Schiele dished out six assists as the Chargers fall to 7-4.
Ortonville 62, Sisseton 60
Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg 48, Hancock 39
KERKHOVEN – Morgan Kisgen scored 11 points for Hancock but the Owls suffered their fourth straight loss 48-39 to KMS.
Lexi Staples had eight and Rylee Hansen added seven for the Owls who are 9-4. Madison Rohner led the Fighting Saints with 14 points, Margaret Gjerde added 13 and KMS is 6-6.
Brandon-Evansville 62, Ashby 44
ASHBY – Bailey Schaefer had 19 points with six rebounds and Brandon-Evansville cruised past Ashby 62-44.
The Chargers got 11 points from Mikenna Pattrin, 10 from Caitlyn Deschene, and Brittany Korkowski pulled down 11 rebounds as they improve to 9-5. The Arrows are 3-10.
