Henning 68, West Central Area 62
BARRETT – Blake Wallevand hit five threes and scored 25 points to lead Henning past West Central Area 68-62 in a battle of top ten ranked teams.
The Hornets are ranked no. 2 in the state and were able to fend off the 6th-ranked Knights who refused to go away, keeping the game close throughout the second half.
Gage Staples led the Knights with 22 points and six rebounds, Jacob Bright provided the outside shooting and had 15 points with six assists.
The lead changed hands five times in the first half, but Henning never trailed in the second half, answering each Knights run with one of their own.
Isaac Fisher had 11 points and six rebounds, Parker Fraki finished with eight points, 10 rebounds as the Hornets improve to 12-1 on the season.
Jack VanKempen had nine points, eight rebounds, four assists, two steals and a block. Grant Beuckens added nine points for the Knights who are 10-2.

Hancock 60, Dawson-Boyd 46
DAWSON – Hancock hit 9-16 threes and earned a 60-46 victory over Dawson-Boyd.
Daniel Milander led the Owls with 19 points on five threes to go with six rebounds. Matt Thompson posted another double/double with 18 points and 13 rebounds for the Owls who are 6-4 on the season. Romell Horton led the Blackjacks with 17 points as they fall to 5-4.

Brandon-Evansville 59, Bertha-Hewitt 24
BRANDON – Brandon-Evansville snapped a two-game skid with a dominant 59-24 rout of Bertha-Hewitt.
Marshall Riedel led four Chargers in double-figures scoring with 15 points. Keagan Schiele scored 12 points, Tanner and Tyler Bitzan each added 11 as the Chargers improved to 8-4.
Seven Bears got in the scoring column, but none had more than five points as they fall to 2-10.

MORRIS – Ryan Tolifson’s goal at 10:07 of the third period broke a 3-3 tie, and Zach Bruns netted the game-winner just 1:11 later as Morris/Benson Area snapped a two-game skid with a 7-4 defeat of MayPort from the Lee Community Center.
Bruns scored twice while adding an assist and the Storm got 15 saves from Chase Engebretson to improve to 13-3.
Reece Kuseske, Brady Goff, Jack Riley, and Will Breuer each scored a goal. Hunter Blume and Sam Thompson each tallied two assists, Kuseske, Breuer, Riley, Matt Tolifson, Brady DeHaan, and Brady Loge each added an assist.


Willmar 9, Morris/Benson Area 0
BENSON – Bailey Olson scored a hat trick and three assists for Willmar in a 9-0 rout of Morris/Benson Area from the Benson Civic Center.
Mya Monson had a goal and three assists, Halle Mortenson stopped seven shots for the Cardinals who are 13-6-1. Leah Thompson made 45 saves for the Storm who are 0-17-1.
