Stevens County Commissioner Bob Kopitzke.

At a report given this week to the Stevens County Board of Commissioners, Emergency Management Director Dona Greiner said the county is prepared for any possible contact with the coronavirus that is steadily moving across the country. Commissioner Bob Kopitzke, who sits on the Public Health committee, told the KMRS Community Connection that he concurs with that assessment.

“I’ve been at some public health meetings and our five county public heath (agencies are) getting updates constantly on that and ready for anything that might happen there,” said Kopitzke.

The coronavirus was confirmed this week in a patient in Wisconsin.
