GLENWOOD – No. 2 Minnewaska picked up seven pinfall victories and a major decision in a 66-7 rout of no. 6 BOLD in the section 5A quarterfinals. Tyler Van Luik earnd his 190th career win, 130th by pinfall, while Dylan Jergenson grabbed win no. 100, and Jacob Blair earned career win no. 75 as a sophomore.

BARRETT – No. 2 West Central Area/Ashby/Brandon-Evansville turned a close match into a rout for a 60-9 victory over Border West.
The Knights led just 10-9 before dominating the rest of the way with five pinfall victories and two major decisions. The Bucs had a lone pin early.

WAHPETON – Zach Bruns tallied five-points to help Morris/Benson Area earned a key section victory over Breckenridge/Wahpeton 7-3 on Tuesday from the Sterns Arena in Wahpeton.
Bruns scored a goal in each period for the hat trick while adding two assists, Brady Goff had a goal and an assist as the Storm up their record to 19-4 on the season.
Jace Jensen scored twice for the Blades, Jesse Kruse scored in the second that pulled the Blades within a goal at 3-2 before Bruns second of the night gave the Storm a 4-2 lead after two. The Blades played catch up throughout the third but couldn’t catch the high-scoring Storm.
Tim Blume, Matt Tolifson and Jack Riley each scored while Reece Kuseske, Brady DeHaan, Ryan Tolifson and Kaleb Breuer dished out assists. Chase Engebretson stopped 21 shots in net. Jarred Aamold had 27 saves for the Blades who fell to 14-10.

Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta 69, Ortonville 49
MORRIS – Jackson Loge led a balanced Tigers attack in a 69-49 victory over Ortonville.
Loge had 21 points with 12 rebounds for the Tigers who dominated the first half and took a 42-24 lead into the break.
Brandon Jergenson had 10 points, Thomas Tiernan and Cam Koebernick each added nine and the Tigers improved to 12-8 while the Trojans fall to 5-11.
West Central Area 46, NCE/UH 45
TWIN VALLEY – West Central Area was able to scrap out their eighth straight win with a 46-45 victory over Norman County East/Ulen-Hitterdal from Twin Valley.
The Titans opened the game on a 16-2 run, but the Knights responded with a 25-3 run to take a 27-19 lead into halftime.
The Knights shot 41 percent…well below their average but held the Titans to just 32 percent. Jack Van Kempen had 12 points with eight rebounds, Grant Beuckens added 12 points with seven boards, Gage Staples tallied 10 points for the Knights who are 18-2 on the season. The Titans fall to 16-7.
Ashby 57, Brandon-Evansville 47
BRANDON – Jaden Norby led four Arrows in double-figures scoring with 17 points and Ashby defeated Brandon-Evansville 57-47.
Torin Olson had 15 points, Jacob Cook scored 13 and Hunter Norby added 11 for the Arrows who improved to 15-7. Marshall Riedel led the Chargers with 15 points, Tanner Bitzan had 10 points as they fall to 12-7.

MORRIS – Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta’s suffocating defense recorded 34 steals in a 73-28 rout of Ortonville.
Emma Bowman led on the offensive end with 17 points, Meredith Carrington had 15 points with five rebounds and six steals, Malory Anderson added 12 points, five boards and nine steals, Kylie Swanson chipped in eight steals. The Tigers have won six straight and are 14-8. The Trojans fall to 0-20.
Hancock 82, Battle Lake 34
HANCOCK – Hancock held Battle Lake under 20 points in each half while shooting 50 percent to earn a dominant 82-34 victory on Tuesday.
Carlee Hanson led four Owls in double-figures scoring with 18 points, Tori Pahl had 14 with eight rebounds, Rylee Hanson scored 13 points while Misty Zempel added 12.
Lexi Staples chipped in four points, nine boards and seven assists for Hancock who have won five straight and are 17-6.
The Battlers were led by Adysen Tysdal with eight points as they fall to 7-15.
