The Morris Public Library will conclude its movie screenings of different versions of the classic novel “Little Women” with a showing of the 1949 film 1 to 3 p.m. this Saturday at the library. Library Director Anne Barber told the KMRS Community Connection that the 1949 version starred June Allyson, Janet Leigh and Elizabeth Taylor.

“Well, I was reading that June Allyson, who plays Jo, was 31 in real life and playing a 15-year-old — and she was pregnant, too!” said Barber.

Refreshments will be available at the free library screening.
