Morris Schools Superintendent Troy Ferguson told KMRS that the new bus garage on the school campus is nearing completion and is “coming along beautifully.”
“We anticipate an early March completion date on that,” said Ferguson. “I was just down there last week with a superintendent from a neighboring district who had heard about it and wanted to take a look. And he and his transportation director came and loved it and I think they’re going to try to model theirs after ours. And so, we’re very excited to be getting moved into that new building in the not-too-distant future.”
Ferguson said it will be a process to move all the buses and equipment once the garage is completed, but he anticipated things will be up and running in the spring. Once that happens and the ground is thawed enough to bury a cable to the garage, the solar array put up by the High School Robotics team will be operational.
