Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta is the no. 2 seed for the boys section 3AA-North basketball tournament set to begin on Saturday.

The Tigers (14-10) will host no. 7 New London-Spicer (4-21) in the quarterfinals on Saturday, Feb. 29th from the Tiger Center with a 7:00 tipoff.

In their lone meeting this season the Tigers beat the Wildcats 74-47 back in December.

Minnewaska (17-6) is the no. 1 seed and will host Montevideo (0-24), no. 3 Redwood Valley (17-9) will host Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City (11-14), while no. 4 Benson (15-11) plays host to Paynesville Area (14-11).

Jackson County Central earned the top seed in 3AA-South and with it a bye into the semifinals. They face winner between no. 4 Tracy-Milroy-Balaton and Pipestone.

No. 2 Fairmont hosts Windom Area while no. 3 Luverne is at home against St. James Area.

All quarterfinal games will be played on Saturday, Feb. 29th, with the sub-section semifinals schedule for Thursday, March 5th.
