Federated Telephone General Manager Kevin Beyer told KMRS that they are focused on providing essential services for those who need to get connected to the internet. Beyer said they are not dealing with any TV issues at this point, as phone and internet service is considered the priority.
“There’s some optional services that people have had in the pipeline that they wanted. And then there’s folks that need internet access and need to get connectivity at their home that didn’t have it before,” said Beyer. “And so we’re focused more on getting those folks up and running that didn’t have it before and the…optional services are being put on hold.”
Beyer said Federated has the capacity to handle the expected increase in numbers of home workers. Federated is also working with schools to find ways to provide e-learning options for those students who currently have no internet service at home.
