Morris City Hall has temporarily closed its offices to the public to protect its employees from possible exposure to the coronavirus. Morris City Manager Blaine Hill told KMRS that city operations will continue via phone and email.
“We need to continue operating to support the operations of the city, which includes any kind of emergency management type of operations that might be ongoing,” said Hill. “So, in order to protect our employees that are in here working and doing all those duties that need to be done, we decided it would be in the best interest of everybody to close City Hall to the general public.”
Hill said it’s also being done to encourage people to practice social distancing and limit their activities. Utility payments can be made using the drop box outside City Hall. For other city business, the public can call 320-589-3141 and personnel will provide support.
