While the Census Bureau has suspended field operations until April 1, Stevens County Complete Count Committee Chair Caitlin Christenson told the KMRS Community Connection that they still need workers. The county is far short of their goal of getting 70 temporary workers, and the ones who have been hired are largely vulnerable.
“A few of ours, or let’s say maybe most of ours, are retirees,” said Christenson. “So they’re in the higher risk group. So, they’re worried — which is understandable.”
The jobs pay $18.50 an hour and are for six week stints, renewable at your choosing. Go to 2020census.gov/jobs if interested.
