The Morris Municipal Liquor Store will remain open during the Stay at Home executive order issued by the governor. Liquor stores made the list of  “essential services” allowed to remain open during the closures. City Manager Blaine Hill told the KMRS Community Connection that the Liquor Store manager doesn’t anticipate any problems.

“But as of right now, the manager feels comfortable that people tend to space themselves out anyway as they come into the store,” said Hill. “So they feel comfortable being in there. They feel comfortable with the people being in there. And it’s a personal decision whether or not you want to go in there.”

With bars closed, Hill expects more people to keep a stock of alcohol at home.
