Two confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Traverse County by the Minnesota Department of Health, along with a second case in Kandiyohi County. The Traverse patients are reportedly in isolation at home and being monitored by the Department of Health. There are now 629 confirmed cases in the state in 52 counties resulting in 12 deaths.
Horizon Public Health officials cautioned that the recommended actions for the general public remain the same to slow the spread of the virus: stay home if you are sick, wash hands frequently with soap and water, cover your coughs and sneezes, disinfect commonly touched surfaces and practice social distancing of being six feet from others. MDH has a hotline for COVID health questions at 1-800-657-3903 which can be called from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. seven days per week.
