Officials of the Minnesota State Cattlemen’s Association praised U.S. Representative Collin Peterson of the state’s 7th District, as well as Utah’s Representative Rob Bishop, for introducing the American Wild Game and Livestock Protection Act in February. The legislation would delist the Gray Wolf from the Endangered Species Act in the lower 48 states and give control back to the individual states. Cattlemen’s Association President Mike Landuyt thanked Peterson for his leadership working to get this “great bill” passed, stating that the nationwide delisting of the gray wolf was “long overdue.”
