During the current Stay at Home Order extension, Pope County reminds its citizens and residents that the County will continue to provide critical services while this health emergency is in effect. All County employees are designated as “critical” by the County pursuant to the Governor’s Order, which means they will remain on duty and serving the people throughout this period. The extension announced yesterday runs through Monday, May 4.

Pope County buildings remain closed to in-person visits from the public until further notice. However, County business continues, conducted by means of phone, e-mail, and other electronic alternative means, rather than by in-person visits. To contact a particular County office, consult the County’s office directory by clicking on “County Departments” at the top of any Pope County webpage. You may also call (320) 634-7700 during regular business hours, Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m, to 4:30 p.m. The Sheriff’s Office can be contacted at any time at (320) 634-5411 for non-emergencies. In the case of emergencies, continue to dial 911 for assistance.
