Recognizing that many people have been thrown out of work while under Stay-at-Home orders, the Morris City Council passed a measure at their meeting last night to provide temporary relief for utility bill payers. Council Member Kevin Wohlers made the motion.
“I think it’s a good idea,” said Wohlers. “I guess I’ll move on that motion approving the waiving of late fees for utility bills for the next two billing cycles.”
The move means that water will not be shut off to any residence in the near future due to inability to pay the utility bill.
