The Fire Side Restaurant in Morris recently presented a check for over $3,000 to the Stevens County Food Shelf from a free will fish fry. Food Shelf Treasurer Melissa Harrison told KMRS that owners C.J. and Stacey Fromm received some help from the Morris Fire Department’s Rick Hesse, Jen Logan and Krista Miller in the effort.

“So, as far as the Food Shelf, we really just are so grateful for its community members coming together in support at a time where so many members of the community are facing all sorts of new challenges,” said Harrison. “The Fire Side putting this fish fry on for the Food Shelf is just another example of the great community we live in.”

Harrison also reminded that area restaurants are all struggling, and the Fire Side has curbside and delivery service available Mondays through Saturdays from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m.
