There’s never a good time for a pandemic, but for the Girl Scouts COVID-19 hit right in the midst of their cookie sales – the organization’s biggest fundraiser for its activities. But Sarah Eckel, a Girl Scout leader with Morris Troop 474, told the KMRS Community Connection that their troop was left with many cartons of cookies they still need to sell. Eckel said they have all flavors left, including the soon-to-be-retired Thanks-A-Lot.

“It is a great cookie to donate to people in essential work…’cause it lets them know a thank you for doing what you’re doing and continuing to support the community,” said Eckel.

If you are interested in cookies for yourself or to donate to essential workers, contact sarah.gs.morris@gmail.com or contact the District number at 800-955-6032 and tell them you wish to support Troop 474 in Morris, or any favorite Troop from the area.
