During his interview with KMRS for National Hospital Week, Stevens Community Medical Center CEO John Rau announced his replacement that will be starting at the beginning of the new year.
“Well, the Board of Directors met in April and interviewed a candidate from within our building that they made the determination to hire: Kerrie McEvilly, who has been our vice president of finance with the organization,” said Rau. “She’s been with us for over 25 years now. They did interview her and made the determination that they will hire her as the new CEO of SCMC effective January 1 of 2021.”
Rau came out of retirement two years ago to stabilize operations at SCMC. He also announced a number of new providers will be coming on board in the next few months, including specialists in orthopedics and cardiology, and a family practice physician. The entire one-hour Hospital Week program can be heard 1:10 p.m. today on KMRS.
