On a data table released by the Minnesota Department of Health Friday morning, the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 for Stevens County was adjusted from one – down to zero. KMRS reached out to Horizon Public Health Administrator Ann Stehn for the reason. In an emailed response, Stehn wrote that she cannot confirm the reason why the number was adjusted downward. But, she wrote, “sometimes when MDH completes the case investigation they find a residence change, so the reporting information put it in one county and then later it gets assigned to another county.” Incidents like this are more noticeable, she said, when there is only one case.
