But around the area, Stearns County leads with 1,959 cases and 12 deaths, Kandiyohi County has 471 cases with 1 death, Otter Tail County has 59, Douglas has 30, Swift has 16, Wilkin has 11 with 3 deaths, Pope is up to 8, Yellow Medicine has 6, Big Stone, Traverse and Lac Qui Parle remain at 3, and Grant increased to 3.
There were 57 deaths from the coronavirus over the Memorial Day weekend, including figures released this morning. As of today, there were 570 people hospitalized in the state with the virus, a record 258 of those in the Intensive Care Unit. So far, Minnesota has had 899 deaths with 732 of those from people in long term care facilities. There are 21,960 total positive cases in the state, including 2,427 health care workers, and 15,523 of those are no longer in need of isolation.
