State Farm Agent Paul LeTendre and his team members in Morris presented a $500 check this week to the Stevens County Food Shelf. The money was supported by the Good Neighbor Community Fund and LeTendre told KMRS why he chose the food shelf as the charity recipient.
“Their demand is pretty high, I believe,” said LeTendre. “And they’ve told me in the past that usually cash was a good deal for them, because then they can purchase the stuff that they’re short on or people need or things like that. I just wanted it to be in our backyard, you know. I mean, this is something that really impacts all the people we live around.”
The State Farm program is meant to inspire others to action.
