In data released Friday morning by the Minnesota Department of Health, Stevens County reported its second case of COVID-19. Pope County has 9 cases, Grant has its 4th case, Swift is up to 18 and Douglas is up to 40. There were 590 new cases reported statewide in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of confirmed positive results to 23,531. As of this morning, 592 people are hospitalized with the virus, with 259 of those being in the ICU. The death toll rose 29 since yesterday, bringing the statewide total to 996.
