When the Morris Public Library’s Summer Reading Program starts on Monday, Library Director Anne Barber told the KMRS Community Connection that prizes for doing the various activities and reading will be different than in years past.

“The businesses in town have always been very generous to the library and we want to give back, because we know it’s been a hard time economically for a lot of our downtown businesses,” said Barber. “And so we decided that we would start giving Chamber Cash as prizes for people that participate in all of our activities and challenges.”

Those patrons who win Chamber Cash can then spend them at the various Morris businesses.
