While the Morris Public Library building remains closed to the public, Library Director Anne Barber told the KMRS Community Connection that she is in the process of writing a re-opening plan. While no dates have been set yet, Barber said the plan will be done in phases.
“Right now, curbside has been a great success. But one thing that people haven’t been able to use in our library is our computers,” said Barber. “And that’s one area that I feel we really will need to open up sooner rather than later. So that’ll be the first thing that happens, will be appointment-made computer sessions.”
Many who don’t have computers at home need them to apply for jobs, fill out unemployment forms and the like. Barber said she will be watching all guidelines from health and government agencies when formulating her re-opening plan.
