The owner of The Fire Side Restaurant and the Met Lounge told KMRS that he plans to continue with the curbside and takeout service he’s been doing for the past few weeks. C.J. Fromm said he has prepared his operations for social distancing guidelines and is just waiting for the governor to give the green light for dining in.
“I don’t have a private parking lot. We’re just kind of staying the course with the takeouts,” said Fromm. “I did put a couple of tables out on the sidewalk. But we’re not selling alcohol, we’re not really waiting on them, you know. If you came and picked up food (and) you wanted to eat on a nice night, we’d certainly have them for that. But we’re just kind of staying the course, just due to the fact that we’re not really set up for outdoor dining down here.”
Fromm said the Met Lounge, especially, has no shortage of square footage and can easily do social distancing.
