Following Governor Walz’s announcement that gyms and fitness centers may re-open from the lockdown restrictions from the COVID-19 outbreak, the Regional Fitness Center (RFC) immediately took steps to plan for a safe re-opening.
Last week, the RFC received the final green light to begin operations with a date of Wednesday, June 24th. In this first phase of reopening, RFC hours will be Monday-Thursday from 5 AM to 6:30 PM, Friday 5 AM to 4 PM, Saturday 8 AM to 4 PM, and closed on Sunday.
Only RFC members and those wishing to purchase a membership may enter the facility at this time. Day passes will not be allowed. Everyone must make a reservation at least 24 hours in advance to utilize any of the RFC’s facilities, including the classes, fitness room, pools, and indoor track. Those who feel ill are asked to stay home.
Senior citizen classes, open gym, the recreation pool for open swim, and other minor services still remain unavailable. The use of face masks is optional, but highly encouraged.
