Family members were able to move the ATV and free Sowada, who was examined and treated on scene by ambulance personnel. She was later transported to Alomere Hospital in Alexandria with non-life threatening injuries. The 4 year old passenger was uninjured.

Deputies determined that the rollover occurred as Sowada was operating the ATV very close to the shoulder of Irene Rd NE and the ATV rolled into the ditch.
